Processing

DRY-FRIED AKEBIA CAULIS (초목통(炒木通)) : Dry- fried or baked with moderate to high heat until black scorched spots appear. Prepared in this manner it is less cold, and thus does not injure the stomach, but it still cools heat and also facilitates urination without draining the primal qi.

Contraindication For a pregnant woman, a person with deficiency in spleen & stomach, a person without internal dampness & heat, having spermatorrhea due to weak Gi due to consumption of vital essence, and for a frequently urinating person, the medicine should not be used.
